Does anyone know of a framework or library that will enable me to use
publish/subscribe comms? I want to create a server (using Python)
running on a Unix box that will accept client connections (from GUIs
built with wxPython) and publish realtime data updates to them. Any
advice on where to start?

Once Yukon is released (whenever that might be) does anyone from MS have any
comment on licensing for Yukon and on SQL 2000.
I really don't think anyone with SQL 2000 licenses are going to upgrade
because the database admin or even the developer is going to convince
management it's worth the cost regardless if SQL server can do C# or VB.NET
stored procedures.
This is because the performance is terrible and Oracle has had Java stored...

licenses for my 2 v8 production servers. I also have

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find some encryption routines
/ algorithms for use with product licensing??
I want to pull data such as the computer name etc etc, and encrypt them
against a string of mine, which will then create a product key.
Does anyone have a piece of code to do this, or any type of encryption that
may be useful in .NET

Does anyone have any info on sample code for handling activation/licensing
for a vb.net app?
Just looking for something fairly basic to implement the ability to have an
application registered and tied to a specific single PC to help reduce
possible piracy.
Something where the user would install the app and then send a code via
email or phone to the seller who would in turn generate a code to fully
unlock the program.

I have written a windows app using C# with a SQL 2000 backend. How do I
calcuate licensing costs for my boss!?? Presumably there is some client
license we will need for each user? is the .Net framework on the client
chargeable too?
