Stupid question - where would I find namespaces like system.data?

is it stored in a directory on hard drive, if so where?

When you searched for System.Data* in windows explorer,
you found it in c:\windows\micr osoft.net\v1.1. 4322 if
you have the .NET Framework 1.1 installed.

It is in the System.Data.dll , found in the .NET Framework install directory,
under your windows root directory.

Hello everyone, I am a plenty silly person who is trying to learn .NET remoting through trial and error (all articles I read are going over my head at the moment (mostly) so I thought i'd give it a go). What I want to do is this: Have a server instance of the program, this server instance will receive communication from client programs (as demonstrated in the AddMessage()

The .NET namespace organization confuses me. I opened a new VB.NET Windows Application and headed for the object browser. It had things such as: (1) mscorlib (2) Microsoft.VisualBasic (3) System (4) System.Data (5) System.Drawing (6) System.Windows.Forms

I have posted this and similar questions repeatedly and can't even raise a single response. I am being led to believe that this then 'Must be a stupid question' although people say that there is no stupid question. Is that another for political correctness I am attempting an install of 7.4.3 on FreeBSD O/S 4.9, apparently remnants of 7.3.x are scattered around on the disk from (a) previous ports installation, causing mutex_lock/unlock,...

Please pardon my completely lack of understanding on the topic. I have a website I developed with another developer. We are both far from experts in VB.NET and OOP. We developed the site WITHOUT VS.NET, compiling vb.net code into a common dll in the bin directory off the root of the website. That one vb code creates a namespace we import in all of our ASP.NET code. Compiling was done fromt he command line use vbc.exec. The site works...

The data is just stupid....values of 1 to 5 we get a lot of 0's ok that alright but 1-jan ? we get colums that are formatted for number and then half way down they are changed to text. OR the famous ok now everything in red is ---- and everything in blue is---------. WTF are these people thinking?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
