Crystal rpt result duplicate recordset: Source Access Parameter Qu

I am currently developing a VB.Net App that utilized an MS Access file to
store the data. My Report data source is a Parameter Query in MS Access when
the report loads the parameter is prompted twice? The result set in the
report ends up with duplicate records. How can I overcome this Problem?

Sample Code:

Private Sub frmCryReport_Lo ad(...)...
Dim parPN as New ParameterDiscre teValue
Dim parList as New ParameterFields
Dim parTemp as ParameterField
Dim rpt as crystalReportNa me

objCryViewer.Re portSource = Nothing

parPN.Value = strPN 'Part Num for parameter

parTemp = New ParameterField
parTemp.Paramet erFieldName = "[PNsel]"
parTemp.Current Values.Add(parP N)

parList.Add(par Temp)

rpt = New crystalReportNa me

With objCryViewer
.ParameterField Info = parList
.ReportSource = rpt
End with

End Sub

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

Hi all, I need some help -- I'm working with an A2K database, using DAO, and am trying to read records into a Crystal Report and then export it to a folder on our network as an Excel spreadsheet. I'm having trouble with my code at the point at which it hits ".ReadRecords" -- the module just runs and runs without generating anything. I've gotten this code to correctly save .rpt files without any data, but not with data, nor have I been...

Hi all, I having some confusing effects with recordsets in a recent project. I created several recordsets, each set with the same number of records, and related with an index value. I create a table and add the index value and a value/s from each recordset in turn, into a temporary table, which I used to create a report. I created this with DAO objects, and it worked fine. I use iteration, and the ..movenext command to get the next...

However I am getting an error message on this line: Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("SELECT ID FROM Contacts WHERE (" & sWhere & ");") Contacts being the main table. I am using access 2003 The error message states that there are; Too few parameters. Expected 1 I have no idea how to...

Most Access Users realize that Recordsets, being virtual representations of a Query, Table, or SQL Statement, exist only in our PC's memory. They, and the data they contain, literally exist at one specific moment in time - then gone the next. Few of us realize, however, that they can be saved to disk and later retrieved to will. The technical jargon for this is called 'Persisting a Recordset' and I'll show you how it can be done. ADO has this...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
