Error that only occurs on servers

I coded a Windows Service that populates a PDF Template using Adobe 6.0.

I have a problem that occurs on three instances of Windows 2000 Server, but
not on my XP Pro computer. The error message is...

Application popup: Acrobat.exe - Application Error : The instruction at
"0x77ab1fe3 " referenced memory at "0x20906db4 ". The memory could not be
"read".

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

We can have it quietly write the errors to DrWatson Logs, but they want me
to resolve the problem all together. I have no idea what the problem is.

I have tried giving everyone full access to the registry.

All required files have open permissions.

We have tried reinstalling Adobe multiple times.

We rebuilt a server from scratch and installed Adobe and we get the same
DrWatson log.

Using SaFileUp to upload a file through HTTPS. The same installation of FileUp only errors in this application. The file is then parsed in real time in a VB6 dll. The Response Object is obtained through COM+ and messages are written directly from VB6 to the browser. Error occurs when a file is uploaded that is about 1 MB in size (9500 records or so), and occurs when we call the SaFileUp.IsEmpty method, which SaFileup says is the first...

Hello All, Okay....here goes.We are currently in the process of updating our servers to windows 2003 server from Windows 2k. Before making any changes to our production environment, we ran the new servers on our test environments to make sure that we had everything configured correctly. We had no problems in the test environments, and moved the servers into production earlier this week. That is when the s**t hit the fan.

Hello, I'm developing an Atlas application in ASP.NET 2.0. Everything was OK, but suddenly I started to get some strange errors on one of the pages: When I click any button or invoke any server-side script, I'm getting a popup window: "Unknown error". So I'm stuck. There is no error number, so I cannot investigate it further. There are no errors on the server side - when I debug, everything is OK, the

I get the above error in some of the ASP.NET web applications on a server, and I need some help figuring out how to deal with it. This is a rather long post, and I hope I have enough details that someone who bothers to read all of it have some pointers. Note, I have posted the stack trace and the code exhibiting the problem further down so if you want to start by reading that, search for +++ Also note that I am unable to reproduce...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The idea...
