Hi all
I appear to have lost my setup wizard. Is there anywhere that I can
download this function (upgrade?) or will I have to re-install the whole of
VB6?
TIA

I'm having trouble with VS.NET2003 and Visual SourceSafe.
I upgraded from VS.NET2002 with Visual SourceSafe already
installed, and then upgraded to 2003. My Source Control
option has disappeared from the File menu. Also, when I
open old projects that were already under source control,
it doesn't connect properly to SourceSafe. It gives my
an "unspecified error". Anybody know how to manual
integrate the two?

I have downloaded the Help Integration Wizard from MSDN (November 18) and
followed word by word all the explanation to reproduce the example shown in
the article.
2 of us did that on 4 different PCs.
Result is the same: No help added to VS!
Is the current version available for download working????
note: - Yes, I set the filter to "No Filter" in the VS Content Tab.

Yes, my family business wants to create an accounting database to keep
track of invoices, production, inventory, man hours, etc....
There will be two kinds of users to access the database, on two
different computers at max. (Admin and User)
The table sizes won't get too big. I am thinking 10 thousand records
at max for the biggest table. (they will be replaced each year, ie:
all the records in the tables will be removely and backed up...

Hi all,
I have a few custom Dlls that I am building here and an automated build
/ deploy.
Ideally, I'd like to integrate the help generated by NDoc during a
build into our Studio deployments...
So what I'd like to do is install the help file so that its a Url that
the deploy scripts will drop an updated version of the help into, so

Hello,
I have an asp.net C# application and have many pages and each page has many
buttons. So I would like to have an help button and if user click it should
open another window and give help to the related page. How should I do that.
I am looking something like windows help file, once related subject is
display, user should be able to search other subjects. Is it possible
inasp.net and is there any example that I can integrate into my...

I have written a help file (chm) for a DLL and referenced it using Help.ShowHelp
My expectation is that a developer using my DLL would be able to access this help file during his development time using "F1" help within the VB IDE. Is this expectation achievable
In trying to test my help file in the IDE, I have a solution with 2 projects: the DLL and a tester. VB does not look for my help file; instead, it looks for path to my source code...

I have downloaded the Beta Help Integration Wizard and followed (at least
this is what I think...) all the explanation to reproduce the example shown
in the article.
I did that on 2 different PCs. Result is the same: No help added to VS!
Is there anything obvious I may have forgot?
note: Yes, I set the filter to "No Filter" in the VS Content Tab.
Thanks for any help!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
