Command Window Stopped Working

I'm using VS 2003, VB.Net. For no apparent reason the Command Window no
longer functions. It doesn't auto-complete and doesn't recognize any syntax.

Hi hleewood,

The command window has two modes, Immediate and Command (and maybe Mark
mode). I suspect you accidentally switched to the "other" mode. To
switch from Immediate to Command type '> cmd' in the Command window. To
switch from Command to Immediate type 'immed'

Hi Guys Wonder if someone can help me with this. I have a form where a user clicks a button which gives them a pop up windows to allow them to add the data. The user adds the data and click save. The pop window closes and refreshs the parent window to allow the entered data to be displayed. It was all working okay until couple of days back when it stopped.

Hi. Does anyone have a clue why my mouse wheel stopped working while I was working on the VB behind a form in MS/Access? I would swear that the mouse wheel was working a short time ago. I've checked that it isn't a malfunction of the mouse by going to other applications and trying the wheel. It works just fine. This is very frustrating. It's bad enough that I have a logic problem, but now my mouse is not working while trying to...

Casting arrays that works on watch and command window but not in code. My application is casting arrays in a way it should work. To test if I was doing something invalid, I wrote a test code that has similar structure of the classes in my application. The test worked fine, the casting I want to do must work. I compared the structure of the test with the application to ensure they where similar (inheriting twice, base class implements...

I am attempting to use a third party command-line utility (WinDump.exe) to capture network traffic for perfromance analysis. This utility when launched captures network traffic until Ctrl-C is entered from the keyboard. I launch this utility (through a batch file) programmatically in a command-shell process through the Process object with no window (i.e. myProcess.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true). I have re-directed the StandardInput to a...

Hi, I've written a program which has both a command line interface and Windows form interface, however it isn't quite working correctly. When run from command line with no arguments it should display the Windows form. The form is being displayed but the command only returns when the form is closed. I want the command line to return immediately, leaving the form displayed.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
