Hello
I get this error when the code runs from the server as an .asp page or
from a compiled dll.
But When I log onto the server and run a vb program that executes the
same code, it works fine.
this works fine on a different web server as well. They are both
running windows 2003.

Hi all,
We've got a vb.net assembly (dll), which is exposing a COM interface
so it can be called from our legacy VB6 application.
When we call a particular method (which is designed to return
true/false when finished), the method works fine (it is meant to store
data in a database, and this part works), but we get the error:
"The object invoked has disconnected from its clients" triggered in
the VB6 calling application.

Hi There,
I've generated a C# file from a wsdl file using wsdl.exe utility.
Then I created a console application and made a call to the method
generated, first I got the error:
"The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Access Denied."
Then I added a proxy validating and proxy credentials and got this:

Dear All,
(First of all this is not a c# piece of code but it does not really
matter).
I would really appreciate if someone could help me.
I am developing an ASP.NET web site and I have to deal with images
upload.
When the user is selecting an image, I save it as such together with a
thumbnail version.

I'm creating a class library (dll) and am confused as how to pass any
information, should any exceptions occur, back to the calling application.
Such as:
Try
x = 3 / 0 ' divide by 0 error
Catch ex as Exception
'(how do I pass ex info back to calling app?)
End Try

Hi,
DB2 LUW 8.2
We would like to implement a trigger to stop an insert or "empty
row" (under certain conditions), but not to throw an exception back to
calling application i.e the calling application would be unaware that
the insert had been stopped.
Sounds a bit crazy perhaps, but is it possible?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
