I'm setting up a script to build a C# solution, with several assemblies ( dlll's ). The script language would probably be VBScript, within a Windows Script ( .wsf ) file. The main build step is done by running the command-line program "devenv.com", for Visual Studio .NET 2003.
An earlier step I need to is to add a folder ( "X:\" ) to the "References Path" for each project in the solution. Can anyone say a way to do that in a script ?

I don't have the "references" selection in my "tools" menu. Obviously this
is kind of important. I have "Always show full menus" checked. Program has
been updated to SP3.
Any ideas as to why this would be completely missing? Perhaps a security
setting? Is there another way to turn on DAO 3.6?
Thanks for any thoughts.

I'm trying to communicate with a USB device using C#. I'm able to determine
the device path using P/Invoke and SetupDiGetClassDevs,
SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces, and SetupDiGetDeviceInterfaceDetail, but I
can't open the device using File.Open. I get the following error:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in
mscorlib.dll
Additional information: Illegal characters in path.

I use FolderBrowserDlg for user to select a folder path then store it in the
sql table. I then retrieve it to concatenate in a sqlcommand text to retrive
files from that directory but it won't work because the database has it as
"\\Support\VMS\VMSDB" while the C# code expects to see
@"\\Support\\VMS\\VMSDB" . Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks,

Our website contains subdirectories for each subsidiary company, each
company has it's own look and feel to the pages in their subdirectory
although they are all part of the main website.
The code below in the Web.Config file defines the authentication as forms

works well for the root level company web pages however when a user viewing

Hi,
I'm trying to reach an xml file from within a web application. The file is
physically on a different server. When I try to reach it using
\\servername\path\ style, I get the error "\\servername\path\ is a physical
path". Using a virtual directory gives the same result.
All I really do is the following:
// XmlTransformer is a System.Web.UI.WebControls.Xml object

I only found one post on Google where someone mentions the same problem
with a DataSet:
XmlDataReader in .Net 1.1 can not read XML files from a path which
contains "%10" or "%3f".
code to reproduce:
string filename = "%10.xml"; //XML file with this name is existing
XmlReader reader = new XmlTextReader(filename);

Up to a short time ago using "find all references" in the find symbol
results appeared all the referencies of a specific string present in
every source file of the solution.
Now when i select "find all references" only appears references
contained in the currently active file.
Have I modified something? How to to search in all the solution? I
haven't found any clue in the msdn documentation.
Thanks

I have to go into these convulsions to get the directory that the
script is in whenever I need to use relative paths. I was wondering if
you guys have a better way:
from os.path import dirname, realpath, abspath
here = dirname(realpath(abspath(__file__.rstrip("c"))))
In particular, this takes care of the case of symlinked, compiled
scripts, which is fairly common at my workplace, and I imagine in many
*nix evironments.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
