Sorry about the last... Anyway, here's the question:
I've been working on some C# routines to process strings in and out of various encodings. The hope is that I can just let the user type in the encoding they want and I'll do a pretty good job of converting. Basically, I take a string as input, write it to a byte array MemoryStream and then get the bytes of the conversion out.
The oddity in my question is that when I use...

Hi
I have a problem, I have a string which needs to be converted to a
byte array, then have the string representation of this array stored
in an AD attribute. This string attribute then has to be read and the
string representation of the byte array has to be converted back to
the original byte array and converted back to the original string -
confused yet?

Apologies if this is a noob question, but I've been struggling with this for quite a while...
I'm trying to convert a byte array (encrypted authorization code) into a *screen-printable* string that is displayed in a text box. Once displayed, the text will be copied, transmitted and then pasted (all manually by humans) into a second utility where the string must then be reverse-engineered into the *original* byte array. The byte array will...

Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction, on how I would
compare a system.guid with a system.byte.
system.guid (pulled from sql server table with a data type of
uniqueidentifier, originally taken from objectGUID from active directory

I want to see if this code works the way it should on a Big-Endian
system. Also if anyone has any ideas on how determine this at
compile-time so that I use the right decoding or encoding functions, I
would greatly appreciate the help.
Thanks,

So I need to talk to a devices that expects all of the bits and bytes I sent
it to be in specific places (not yet 100% defined).
I wanted to create a structure/class with all of the data in it and then
convert that to a byte array, pass it to the device, then get a reply and
then convert that to a structure.
I'm having issues with making sure what I've coded is correct. Cant figure
out how to define an array in structure that is a...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
