Report designing help..

I am developing an app where I want my crystal report fro .NET to show some
data vertically on the left hand side. I did try putting it there and then
rotating by 90 degrees. It shows fine at design time, but while I view it in
browser, it comes horizontal again. Is there any setting I am missing?
Please suggest.

I need to allow the user to design the report format at runtime. I'm studying with what tools that I can do that. The users need to design the report/document by themselves because they are in different cities. They may have different names for the same report/document. And the format may need to be changed over time. Now I have the following options. - Crystal Report - Active Report

I have a user who has been using Excel for a while to keep statistics and print reports. She finds using it cumbersome because of long formulas and a lot of copying and pasting. I have designed a database for her which is intended to make things a lot easier; however, I don't have a lot of experience with Access and I find that designing the reports in Access is tedious. I want to be able to print the reports (which are simply based on...

I am using Microsoft Access 2000. I am designing a report using an aggregate query parameterized on a date range. I am using a form for users to select the range, allowing "First Quarter 2005" to produce global variables for both gsStart (e.g.-"07/2004") and gsEnd (e.g.-"09/2004"). I want to feed the dates to the report query programmatically. If I build the query with a WHERE option for the date field and add a BETWEEN clause, I...

We are trying to build a multi level BOM report. The problem we are having is in designing the report so that the spacing for each level does not show up on the report when there is no information. Can this be handled with vb code or some kind of special query or table structure? The report right now is based on a recursive query, but in report design each level has line space. So when it prints and there are no parts there are spaces. We...

I have a slight problem here with a database program I am designing. I have two excel spreadsheets, one created by one department here, and the other created by a second department. I have the access program importing the relevant fields from both programs into 2 tables. Table 1 is the listing of employees in the company and their info (minus the location where they work). Table 2 is the listing of employees who are in this facility. I...

Here is how you create a complex data report that involves parent and child commands and you can update information at runtime. Its pretty straight forward to work with simple queries; however, working with complex reports is tricky Assumption: Reader of this article have basic knowledge of creating data reports. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
