Oks, I know I'm going to seem completely stupid here but, I have a question
thats been doing my head in for the last few hours.
Basically, I'm trying to find a way to turn a folder and file path, from the
path, to the actual URL.

The problem started when the Working Folder for a project was somehow set to
the folder of another project. I set the correct working folder in VSS and
deleted the .vbproj files that had been created in the wrong folder on the
hard drive. Before I discovered these files, .NET kept trying to create a
new project with _1 following the project name. Deleting those files
corrected that problem.

I am using the BrowseFolderDialog control in a Winform app to get a user selected path. Under Network Places, there are Folder Shortcuts to network resources. If a user selects one of these Folder Shortcuts, the returned SelectedPath property is set to "C:\Documents and Settings\<username.domainname>\NetHood\<shortcut name>. The targets for these Folder Shortcuts are actual UNC paths. How can I access this target information within .Net. Thanks....

Hello. Ive got a VC++ program. Inside the program Ive got some code that
has a full file path:
C:\aa\bb\cc\dd\file.txt
One of the folders in that path (cc) is a shortcut pointing to some other
folder far away.
The program doesnt seem to follow the shortcut. Im used to Unix, where
shortcuts are indistinguishable from folders (or files) and you cannot have a

gets GetCurrentDirectory and finds / opens the a.txt file. But if i create
a shortcut on desktop it couldnot find real working directory. How can i do
this ?

I have a problem, I am using visual studio 2003 to develop Chinse
application, works fine.
But when I deploy it, Chinse font can not be seen for shortcuts or folder
name created by Visual studio 2003 setup project.
