Set Client Area on Custom Container Control

Hello,

I'm trying to create a fairly standard custom container control by using the
ScrollableContr olDesigner attribute. My control has a title bar at the top,
and I would like to exclude the title bar area from the container client
area in both the designer and at run time so that adding contained controls
or using docking does not overlap/underlap the title bar.

I have been unable to find anyplace to edit the client area in the
ScrollableContr olDesigner or its base class, the ParentControlDe signer. I
have also seen nothing on this channel more elegant than overriding the
dragdrop behaviors, and that will not solve the docking issue.

Of course, simply constructing a nested container control (creating a custom
control contaning a panel) does not work at design time.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Ken Seier

I have a custom control that derives from the WebControls.Panel class. In a given ASPX document, I have an instance of my custom control with ID set to "MyControl". Then I put a WebControls.TextBox control inside my custom control with ID set to "MyTextBox". When this page renderes, inspection of the HTML source shows that the Name attribute of the input tag generated from MyTextBox is now actually

I need to display a tiled image in the MDI container form's client area, and also detect right-clicks in that area. How do you do that? So far, I've unsuccessfully tried: 1) Placing my image in the form's BackgroundImage, and creating a MouseUp event for the form. The event never fires. 2) Placing a Picturebox in the Form, docked to fill, and moving my image and MouseUp event to that. Now the event fires, but the Picturebox covers...

I am trying to create a custom container control that will only ever contain a specific type of control. At design time, when a control of a different type is added to the container I would like to wrap the control in the proper control type - which is also a container. At design time I want to be able to turn this : <my:container> <asp:textbox />

However I would like to have a single pane...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
