Hi,
in our webpage, a user could open a windows explorer to his temp
directory with a simple link and usage of the file protocol:
<a href="file://C:\temp" target="_blank">C:\temp</a>
This worked very well a long time, but now it does not work anymore.
We use IE6 and Microsoft Windows XP Professional 2002 SP2.
I guess it has something to do with new IE security features. Does

Hi out there,
I'm a first-time user of the "Copy ... From..." command, and I'm trying
to load a table from a text flat file.
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.4/static/sql-copy.html
I don't know if I'm using the command correctly.
Question: I run this command as a superuser, and the "copy from"
command is run like a SQL command on the command line, correct?

Hello All,
I just finished reading an interesting article by Scott about App Domains:
http://odetocode.com/Articles/305.aspx
Scott, I have a question about the section "Shadow Copies and Restarts". You
talked about "Drain Stopped" and "Shadow Copy" concepts in this article. I
maintain a web application which is in production. Every morning the way we
build the project is using Visual Studio's IDE to use "Build ->
Build<proj-name>"...

I'm flipping my wig here, people. I'm using classes and making each class a
file. when I'm including dependet classess, I use require_once to avoid
multiple declarations - yet they happen. I put debug_print_backtrace in the
file to see how it is included, and here's the output:
#0 require_once() called at
#1 require_once(\eKirje.textGrid.class.php) called at

I'm working on fixing the command of "Copy to Clipboard" from a data
grid.
The current implementation has two problems:
1) There are two extra columns copied to clipboard that are invisible
in the grid. I'll need to remove these two columns from clipboard.
2) The headings are not being copied to clipboard.

Full error message is:

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
