They Had Their Chance

Mr. Jeff Relf drawled...
You dream of a world where everyone shares their source code ,
sibling node to sibling node . What if it's best the way things are ,
With closed source code and parent nodes ?

that's the way it's been from 1975,
when m$oft was spawned, until 2000,
when linux and p2p ( what you label
sib-2-sib ) became prevalent. People
sharing one-2-one, without the need
for a 'central' organization has been
shown to succeed in droves.

Let's face it, your lords and master
Bill Gate$ and Andy Grove have both
been riding Moore's Law. But Moore's
Law gave out. Chips didn't increase
in performance and decrease in cost.
They just got expensive and with
crappy LoseDOS 1900 software became
unusable.

Linux -- sib-2-sib networks, like
newsgroups and sharing and source
sharing are the future.

This past year, we have seen the
Reactionaries, such as yourself,
SCO, RIIA and all the losers in
the new world, try to reassert
their fragile claims on power.

They are soon to be quashed and
progress can continue.

As for you, I hear RedHat is opening
up support offices worldwide. Perhaps
you can score a job writing scripts
for customers and give up your
lay about ways.

Hi Bailo ,
Of WinTel You say : " They're soon to be quashed . "

You're dreaming again , John . Dreaming .
Even if WinTel falls ,
Something like it will always exist .

You say :
" Perhaps you can score a job writing scripts
for customers and give up your lay about ways . "

Scripts are fine for the quick and dirty stuff .

But I _ Need _ my C++ .

Being lazy isn't so bad ... Try it sometime .

Hi Baiiiiilo ,

_ Waiting for Godot _ From :

" Estragon and Vladimir are waiting for
something to alleviate their boredom . ...
The boy who consistently
fails to remember either of the two protagonists
casts doubt on their very existence .
This is why Vladimir demands to know that
the boy will in fact remember them the next day . ...
Vladimir represents the intellect and Estragon the body ,
both of whom cannot exist without the other . "

So how did masters Bill and Andy convince people to buy their
'overpriced crap'?

I don't mean any of this to anyone in the Linux world other than you
and your retard ass-pirate Liam. Neither of you produce shit other
than nonsense newsgroups posts.

If you are so right, how did some lamer like Gates take over the world
while your only talent is to annoy people in newsgroups? Linux rocks
as an OS and the reason it has the rep it does is for two reasons.....
1) there is a learning curve to it, and for that, it doesn't deserve
the negatives that it has 2) There are a bunch of handjobs like you
running around, that never broke figures for the stuff they write,
that bitch about everyone that doesn't want to join them in their
Lithium deprived tirades. And don't get me started on your boy
Liam...he makes me fucking embarassed I'm Irish.

And the sad part about it, which I'll gladly prove on this whole NG,
is that I know more about X than either of you two ass pirates in
linux alone. And yes, I know Mac and Windows as well.

Quit playa hatin loser, or at least show some of your ultra 3:33t
code...have some fucking balls pussy. And before I get flamed for
being anti X, go check out any of my advocacy on www.devbuzz.com
(mullahbill) ,and yes, there's a reason we have 4,000,000+ hits a
month and you don't even have a web site..well, Liam Slidin in some
dudes ass does, but I bet he can't break 6 figures on a paycheck or on
unique visitors.

2) The only Irish in my family is by adoption, so you don't have to
worry aboput me tainting your perfect Irish race.

3) I used to code more, I don't code much anymore. What I do is mostly
little stuff, as a hobby. I have no interest in sharing it with you. If
I do get back into it seriously I won't be telling you anyway.

4) I doubt that's even your website.

5) You talk like a widiot and you're posting through google...I'm
guessing you really *are* a widiot. In fact, with the way you are
talking and how you are posting II'll just assume you are full of shit
and ignore you from now on.

6) You don't have to worry about me pirating your ass, because even if I
*were* gay I wouldn't want to pirate your drunken Irish ass. It's
probably too stretched out from Bill Gates. Besides, the only ass
pirating I'll be doing will be in slidin' in some female's ass.
You are an idiot.

When Gates licensed m$'s DOS to IBM, the fix was in. Through any means
(legal, illegal, ethical unethical, moral or immoral) Gates insured that
m$'s OS shipped on PCs.

My manager wants me to develop a search program, that would work like they have it at edorado.com. She made up her requirements after having compared how search works at different websites, like eBay, Yahoo and others. This is what she wants my program to be able to do: (try this test at different websites just for fun). At eBay: - enter the word 'television' in a search field à you will get 2155 items.

Hi everyone Has anyone got the least experience in integrating the Digital Signature with an ASP.NET Web Application? While I'd toyed with C, C++, and Java over the last 20 years or so, my principal language has been BASIC, QBASIC, then Visual Basic, and finally Visual Basic .NET. But lately, I've been using C# and I absolutely *love* it. It makes me think more about what I'm doing it before I just spew code into the editor. I'm writing better code than ever. The only thing so far that I don't like about it is the switch construct. I can't do this:

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers.
