Imaging

In the days of VB6 I would often use the Wang/Kodak
Imaging control that ships with Windows to process TIFF
files. Drop the ocx on a form and TIFF file manipulation
is all very easy.

So how do I do this in .net? I've searched MSDN and while
there is a lot about imaging, and there is of course the
imaging namespace, I can't find anything more than the odd
reference to TIFF. Specifically, how do I take multiple
TIFF files and append them to a single multi-page TIFF?

you could import the COM imaging control into your .NET project really
easily if you're using VS.

Hi,

You can use Image.SaveAdd() to create a multi-page TIFF.

The link below points to unmanaged docs describing how to do this.
Do it the same way in managed code.

Beware line-wrap on the url above.

I feel fairly well versed in getting Tkinter to do what I want, but now I'm venturing into the whole imaging thing, and placing text and graphics over some static background image. I'm trying to use PIL, but what I get from this code is a new window with a gray background, not the image I'm trying to open. Here's the code: class Imaging: def __init__(self, parent):

My application seems to freeze when Microsoft Office Document Imaging is set as the default for loading images. If the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is used there is no problem. When I set a break point then the Document Imaging will appear after I restart the application or if I just kill the app it appears. I am working with TIF's. Any thoughts as to what I need to do to enable the use of Microsoft Office Document Imaging? If I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
