Hi:
I am trying to use the Transfer statement in an .aspx file
to redirect
and send Form and QueryString collections to a different
page. A good
example where this is needed is a checkout page when you
click on the
Confirm button, and the client's shopping info (items,
amount, etc.)

I am trying to implement a couple of webforms which will
work as a normal installation program. That is from each
form you can go to the NEXT or PREVIOUS form. I want
to have about 4 forms. So if I start from form 1 and press
Next, 4 times it will come to form 4. Now when when I go

previous state. I have tried this using VIEWSTATE. But

I have an app that I have different "sections" that I want to switch back
and forth from, all while having the server maintain viewstate for each
page. In other words, when I am on Page1.aspx and set textboxes, radio
buttons, etc - that viewstate is fine. Then I have a linkbutton that does a
Server.Transfer over to Page2.aspx. When I Server.Transfer back to
Page1.aspx, the viewstate info is lost.
I ran across another example of this last...

Hi,
I'm trying to pass information between pages. I'm trying to avoid using
QueryString and Session variables. I saw somewhere that I could use
contxt.Items.Add (combined with Server.Transfer) to store my
information and send it to another page. Some of my pages, either go to
other pages, or postback depending on the situation. When I began to
get confused was when I saw that I needed to store my variables on the
viewstate if I wanted...

the back button after a server.transfer? Do I get the viewstate back?
Thanks in advance.

I have an app that was originally 1.1, now migrated to 2.0 and have run into
some sporadic viewstate errors...usually saying the viewstate is invalid,
eventvalidation failed or mac error.
My web config does specify a machinekey setting:
<machineKey
validationKey="447C05E8B3A71401CC4CAE5513A7F1A3494A3618EE819316AAD1D58433F236A759D66FB4154500E01EB4E1BC1DE42046E2D652D391CB8367A1649438867A02EB"...

I want to use server.transfer to go to a new aspx page. I want to be able to
still have the viewstate from the previous page. I have researched this and
see a lot about it, but I can't find a good straight forward example. Does
anyone know how to do this? I'm using asp.net 2.0 and vb.net. Thanks.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
