Error with TRUCATE

Hi there im using a php to run a command in my mysql database and a error appears with my mysql code but i cant see anything wrong with as iv tried it in my mysql database without php.

Anyway heres the line and error-

$sql = 'TRUNCATE comparison; TRUNCATE backup;';

so in sql it looks like-

TRUNCATE comparison; TRUNCATE backup;

And the error associated with it-

completeError: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TRUNCATE backup' at line 1

Note only have one line of code lol,

Any help identifying what is wrong with this would be great, btw u can run to commands at once right?

You can not run multiple queries with mysql_query(). Either split your statement to 2 separate mysql_query() calls or use mysqli_multi_query().
