PHP / InnoDB, sources for good search ideas?

Hi

using InnoDB tables in a MySQL 3.23.54-max environment on the usual
linux/apache/PHP4.3.0 server. I have complete control over the box.

I'm creating an e-commerce book shop (<500 titles), and am now
thinking about the functionality of the SEARCH box.

Am looking for inspiration!

I can't use the FULLTEXT in MySQL as I'm using InnoDB (where the
ranking looked great). So what is left is:

SELECT * from book where tx_title LIKE '%keyword%';

Other relevant columns are: author, pull_quote, bullet_points,
reviews, short_description, our_thoughts, meta_words etc..

Can anyone point me to interesting books / websites / concepts?
