(Exucse me for my english vocabulary: I'm French)
Hi,
I think that all it said in my question. I would like to get a files *.h
list in order to know what I can use in my program code.
I hope that you have understood.
Thanks

My app reads some text files at runtime. The problem is where to find them.
In my project, we agreed to rather not define own environment variables.
But then, it's hard to know at runtime where the files are because that
changes with a "make install".
I kind of solved this by letting the Makefile generate a header file that
contains string variables with path information. The Makefile writes the
values into that header file. The only...

Hello,
I'm a little confused about where I should include header files and was
wondering whether there was some convention. Imagine I've written a
class foo and put the definition in foo.h and the implementation of its
member functions in foo.cpp (which obviously #inludes foo.h) and further
assume that it depends on a class bar which is defined in bar.h.
It seems that there are the following two scenarios:

I have cpp 7.1; created a new w32 console aplication project; added existing
items to that project - one .h file (xyz.h) and one .c file; (the files are
not in project's directory)
xyz.h file is set under "header files" and
..c file is set under "source files"
- in that .c file I have:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <math.h>

Hi, all.
Recently, I find there is a way in our project to maintain a global set in
many files by using preprocessing directives. I'm wondering if we could find
a better method for this.
Many colors are referred in different subsystems in our projects. They are
defined as enumeration constants and a single color must be the same value
all across our projects.

I am learning C Programming after working with Java for 5 years. I
want to know where can I find the source files for C language itself.
For example strcat is a function, which concatenates two strings. I
want to read how this function is implemented in its native form,
where can I find its corresponding .c file. I am using gcc version
3.3.1 (Thread model POSIX) on cygwin with Eclipse IDE.
A grep on a function name lists many .h and .c...

Hello,
Is there any complete online C++ (and also C) reference that describes
all header files and the functions/definitions available in the header
files? I found out some header files such as <cstddef> and <climits>
have some useful definitions. However, until I saw the code, I wasn't
even aware of their existence. Therefore, I'm hoping there's some kind
of reference (like what Sun has for Java) so that I can find out if
there's...

the win32 API documentation references a lot of symbolic values.
FILE_SHARE_READ, GENERIC_WRITE, ...
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms959950.aspx
are the actual values enumerated at the MSDN site? I know I can find
them in the C++ header files, just would like to have a definitive
place on MSDN to find all the values.

When I code
#include "myheader.h"
then this header file is searched in the current directory.
But where does the compiler search the header file when I write

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
