Can't get init_connect='A UTOCOMMIT=0' to work

Hi all,

I've got MySQL 4.1.3 installed on RH 7.3... everything's fine so far
except for getting the init_connect string to work.

I followed the instructions on
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/Se...variables.html

and added the below line to my '/etc/my.cnf' file under [mysqld]:
init_connect='S ET AUTOCOMMIT=0'

When I restart the server and start mysql, I can see that the
init_connect was read:
mysql> select @@init_connect;
+--------------------+
@@init_connect
+--------------------+
SET AUTOCOMMIT=0
+--------------------+

However, the Autocommit variable is still 1!
mysql> select @@AUTOCOMMIT;
+-----------------+
@@AUTOCOMMIT
+-----------------+
1
+-----------------+

Anyone seen this before or know what's wrong??

Thx in advance,
Scott.

The site, which is almost finished, is at http://site234.webhost4life.com/crgmdal7/ If you click most of the links in the gold nav bar, they will take you to various places within the site. But if you select the one called "Loads", it takes you to http://www.crgm06.com/aval.txt, which I have opened into a new window. As you can see, it's a plain text file, and it is on a different domain, which I have no control over. The data in there...

Hi Everybody, I would appreciate it if you can give me a hand here. I want to use the code in the coming paragraph to do the following when the "IN" button is clicked (InBtn_Click): 1- Create (or open) output.txt, and 2- Type the current time (hour only) in it. FileStream* fs = new FileStream(S"output.txt", FileMode::Create);

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
