In the older version of mysql, when I pressed browse, I could see the
content of the table. If I ran a query, such as select * from table,
it would scroll out the result. Now, with the newer version, all it
does is hang. Is there some setting I'm missing that needs to be
changed? This was newly installed on our apple server.
Thanks,

Sorry to answer a question with another question - but I think you might get
additional help if you are to name the graphical interface that you are
using to connect to your database... and... confirm that you are talking
about MySQL too while you are at it...
This extra piece of information might help others to help you...

I'm currently updating one of our web sites and have encountered a
strange problem. The page that is giving me the problem is written in
ASP and hits a SQL 2K DB. When I click submit I have 4 procs that
need to be executed. I always get a sql server timeout error. I
opened up Profiler and traced the events. The page hangs on the last
proc called which is basically a select * where id = @id. If I run
the same proc that hangs in query...

Hi,
I have 2 sql servers (A and B) and have established a link between
them using sp_addlinkedserver. I have created a table (test) on sql
server A. I have created a view (test) on sql server B that selects
from the table (test) on sql server A. When I select from the view on
sql server B I am able to retrieve rows from the view(on B)/table(on
A) with the following query:
Query on sql server B (where test is the view)

Over the past years i've been in contact with the same problem a
number of times, creating a graphical user interface on complex XML
documents. Personally these solutions have never been satisfactory to
me as a developer. I am not sure if this is caused by the way i've
approached the problem or that it is the maturity of current day XML
technologies.
Let's say we are developing Form interfaces on complex XML documents
which have a...

Being somewhat new to Python, and having a tendency to over complicate
things in my class design, I was wondering if anyone can suggest a
simple graphical or flowcharting tool that they use to organize their
class and program design? Because of a 55 mph head-on accident a few
years back, I have short term memory problems, so flipping back and
forth between pages of code is next to impossible for me to keep
straight. A simple graphical...

I've read some of the posts on this subject but let me add this little twist
to the subject's question- I can appreciate the utility of doing screen caps
off of other websites with PSP or PhotoShop to get some of my website's
graphical elements, but really I'd rather mostly generate my own graphics.
Are these tools (I haven't looked at them yet) useful for authorship of
original work?
So far (this is kind of sad, really) to get exactly...

Hi all,
I'm having a weird time with a call to the Refresh() method of a
DataGridView. I have a VB.NET 2005 Windows application with a main form and
a "worker" thread. The main form delegates a Sub to the worker so that the
latter can refresh the DataGrid after updating the DataTable driving it.
When I run the app under the debugger, everything's fine. But when I run it
for real, it hangs, apparently in the Refresh() method of the...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
