Hi
We are having issues with our application, certain portions of it stop
responding while the rest of the application is fine. I am attaching
the Java Core dump. If someone can let me know what the issue is.
Thanks

Hi All
Has anybody got any pointers or examples on how I can create a VB app to
connect to a remote MySQL server at a set time and backup a remote db to
local file?
Although a lot of the tools I have seen backup to a text script file, a more
compressed binary version would be better.
Thanks

However, I'm trying to set up TOra so that I can browse the databases
effectively. I'm having lots of trouble trying to get TOra to work
with MySQL.
Please take a look at the notes below and please let me know why I'm

Hi gang:
I'm experiencing a problem with MySQL -- I updated MySQL from version 4.1.0
to 4.1.10 and now when I login as root it doesn't show all the databases I
should have access to, nor it doesn't recognize me being logged in as root
(via CURRENT_USER().)
Here it is, line-by-line. Inline comments are denoted by '//'

Our production database in an exported textfil runs about 60 MB.
Compressed that's about 9 MB.
I'm trying to import the export into another machine running FC3 and
mySQL 11.18, and it appears as though the file may be too big!
When I try to do it via command line:
mysql -u root --host=localhost printing < ./printing.txt
It eventually errors out with a "syntax error on line X" and only about

Hi All,
I'd like to dump out my database using plain text format. Everything is ok,
but the bytea filds.
Restoring the dump file (using <<psql -f LO_TRY_INSERT_BYTEA.sql tmp7>>) it
sends an error message like
psql:LO_TRY_INSERT_BYTEA.sql:14: ERROR: Bad input string for type bytea
Trying dumping with copy commands it sends this error:
psql:LO_TRY_COPY_BYTEA.sql:13: lost synchronization with server, resetting

A while ago I had some help from here to make a batch file that would dump
my db. Everything was working just fine until 2 days ago and I just found
out.
I checked my backup folder and found that starting on 4/25/2006 the dump
files are empty and only shows a few lines of comments or something instead
of creating a normal dump as it had been doing just fine for the last few
weeks.

Hi,
I'm trying to import a mysqldump of all the databases from one server to another. First I attempted to use phpMyAdmin, I exported using the export to file option (drop database and drop tables selected) and then tryed to paste the resulting file (8mb into the text input field) not the brightest of moves i admit. That failing I then tryed this command from the command console (windows server 2003):
C:\mysql\binmysql -u root -p <...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
