Next time give a more meaningful title to your thread as this one does not attract much attention. So I changed it.

The last definition should not end with a comma. A comma suggests that there is more to come. So it must be
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. sa varchar(128)

I don't understand the reference "2" in the following message. There is only a primary key constraint on the named table. It is generated by default and Im not inserting a value for it. SQL0803N One or more values in the INSERT statement, UPDATE statement, or foreign key update caused by a DELETE statement are not valid because the primary key, unique constraint or unique index identified by "2" constrains table "IS3.ENTITIES_PUB" from...

When trying an alter I am getting: DB2 SQL error: SQLCODE: -20054, SQLSTATE: 55019, SQLERRMC: IS3.SERVICE_OBS;22 Message: The table "IS3.SERVICE_OBS" is in an invalid state for the operation. Reason code="22". I thought 'db2 ? 55019' would give me an explanation, but it only repeats 'The table is in an invalid state for the operation.' without further explanation. I need either an explanation, or better, a hint of

(PostgreSQL 8.0 beta 4 on Mac OS X 10.3.6) I'm working on a function which creates and populates a temporary table, then returns the number of records it has inserted. I'm getting an error, though, after successive invocations of the function (I can call it once successfully, but on the next call I get an error). I've been able to reproduce the error with the following sample function: create or replace function test() returns...

Before anything else, I am not a very technical expert when it comes to VBA coding. I learned most of what I know by the excellent Access/VBA forum from bytes.com (formerly thescripts.com). Ergo, I will be writing this article intended for those who are in the same level, or maybe lower, of my technical knowledge. I would be using layman's words, or maybe, my own words as how I understand them, hoping, you will understand it the same way that...

Hello everyone, I need help with a stored procedure or two. My stored procedures are supposed to check if a certain record exists. If it does exist, then I select everything from that row, as well as a value for the exit status of the SP. If the record doesn't exist, it selects an error message as the exit status. I've recreated the SP (while changing field names) and restructured the table, just to get straight to the point.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
