Hi,
I use "defined $r_libs->{$name}" to check first if a key exists in a hash
table. But Perl gives a warning WHENEVER the key exists: "Use of
uninitialized value".
Would u please help to check the script, and let me know the reason? Thanks

I am writing an ASP app which is giving me some very frustrating
errors. They appear intermittently, no real pattern to them, and often
go away if you reload, or back up a few pages and start over again.
The first error is logged as a 400 error and says only, "The parameter

I would like to retrieve, let us say, the First Monday after a certain date,
so my (imaginary) function
could be something like
echo weekdayAfter("28 July 2005", "Monday") should return "1 August 2005",
(or a timestamp that could be formatted).
I have been thinking about creating a loop that increases the source date
$myDate with 24*60*60 until date("l", $myDate) = "Monday" but maybe I am
trying too complicated solutions and overseeing...

I am using Access Database in my program. The column in the table that I am
going to use has date/time value with Medium Time selected. (HH:mm). The
program is recording a clock in time to this field, which is the time when
the entry is made. If you check the database, it shows the correct time in
the correct format. But when you are calling it with a dataset and showing

apparently references of type Date can not assume the value Nothing, because
the following code fails:

If d Is Nothing Then

so then what is the equivalent to Nothing for a reference of type Date ?

Hi all,
I think the VB .NET compiler should at least issue a warning when a function
does not return value. C# and C++ compilers treat this situation as an error
and I believe this is the right thing to do. And I wonder why VB .NET keeps
silence and makes such function return some default value instead. Isn't it
error-prone?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
