what to do with table over 400,000,000 rows

I have a table over 400,000,000 rows.
It has primary key composed of 10 fields.

The database runs on MySql 3.23.68
Redhat 7.3

It is very slow, even SELECT COUNT(*)

It crashes nearly once week.

What can I do?

Well what can you do? Can you redesign the database or are you only
allowed to upkeep the existing database? Can you upgrade your software
or your hardware?

I am using sorttable.js to sort a table which works fine which allows a user to sort the table by clicking on the column header. Is there some code I could add to the page (onload or something) to auto sort by the first column without user clicking on it. Here is the sorttable.js code. addEvent(window, "load", sortables_init); var SORT_COLUMN_INDEX;

Im trying to get access to a table in codebehind, because the information in this table is different depending on what it says in the database... So, either I have to access it from codebehind, or Ill have to make bit of code on the aspx page... However, I would prefere code in the aspx page at the moment, but it seemed easier to access thecode from codebehind... However... When I run the following code, (when I look at the code it...

I have a routine that is called on Page_Init. It retrieves folder records from a database which I display as Link Buttons in a table cell. I set the table cell's bgcolor to a default color (say black for example). I am dynamically creating the LinkButton controls and adding them into the table cell and I've also hooked up an event handler for each LinkButton's Click event. This all works fine. Now in the Link Button's Click event...

I would like to ensure this script is optimized (runs correctly or does not execute) for the major browsers. Will checking getElementById and getElementsByTagName accomplish this? In addition, I would like adapt it to ignore table headers or rows with existing classes hardcoded. I haven't been able to get the syntax down. Any help appreciated. If there is an existing script that will do all this, that is fine too. I haven't found...

Hi there Here is the situation - a table is built dynamically with values in the cells I need to retrieve and enter into a database. I have found a way of getting values using JavaScript, but of course with the table being dynamic I have no idea how many rows it will contain. One way is using the TableID.rows.count and then building if statements based on the value - but that is going to be an awfull lot of coding...... So the question is -...

Greetings again everyone Recently i´ve been asked to develop a script to allow filtering in the content of the table, with dinamic options based on the own content. Example: a table with the name of some students and their respective numbers, and then you wanna show only studentes called "Joao", or students with number "5", or even only students called "joao" with number "5". The structure we are going to use is a basic html table, like: ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
