I am looking for a simple way to check if a database table exists. I
keep getting advice to use "Try.. Catch" and other error handling
methods, but I obviously don't want to have to display an error
message and stop the process every time someone loads the script after
the table is created because that would mean the page could only ever
run once which of course not the solution I was looking for. I simply
want to know how I can check...

I would like to create a 2D string list (2D ArrayList ???). I would like to
pass in a table or query as a parameter and have both columns transform into
a 2D ArrayList. When I sort the one 'column' in the ArrayList, the other is
automatically sorted and so I can use IndexOf without fear. This is because

My task is to create login control without using login control in tools. I shouldnt use sqldatasource or any other. I should use only data sets, data adapters and data readers etc.
U had created table login with fields username(varchar(50)), password(varchar(50)), firstname(varchar(50)), lastname(varchar(50)).
