You say this is happening with a new battery too? Did you purchase a cheap-cheap third party battery? Take it back and ask for a good one... even the name brand batteries will occationally have a defective unit.
This works for all phones:
-Stop playing AngryBirds for 6 hours straight! ( ;-P )
-Start by turning off/disabling all of your apps;
-Disable the GPS location;
-Disable the vibration feature;
-Disable bluetooth, use a corded hands-free instead;
-Set the brightness level on the screen to the lowest level you can and still be able to use the phone.
-Enable any battery/energy saving features.
-Set the screen timeouts to the minimum and turn off screen savers.
-Quit making and receiving so many calls, texts, pictures, browing the web using the cell network instead of wifi, and so forth.
- Remote geographic location or other obstructions with respect to the towers will also use the battery more... stand under the tower or repeater. ( :-P )

- Now once done... see how the battery life is...
- Slowly change one thing at a time back, see what is eating your battery... I would suspect one of the apps; however, I don't have your phone so no fair making me guess... you could be pocket-dialing all of the time too!
best wishes
