Hi all,
I'm a J2ME developer, with very little experience in WAP.
I want to know if the following is possible on Nokia terminals:
I would like to have a link in a WML page, that when it is pressed it
should check if the phone has a certain MIDlet installed, and if so
the MIDlet is launched. If the MIDlet is not installed then an
alternate action is taken. Basically I would like to have a "link" to
a MIDlet, that would just run the MIDlet...

but before sending, i will need to encrypt the string.
i've checked anywhere in internet but couldn't find j2me API about encryption.
what is the simple way to encrypt that string in midlet ?

I use Eclipse 3.2 which has j2me plug in.
Previously i asked about encryption in this forum but not much help, so i decided to use bouncy castle encryption package.
runtime error give me the following error message WHEN i click "send" button in my midlet.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/bouncycastle/crypto/PBEParametersGenerator
at MEMerchantInterface$HelpSelector.commandAction(+721)

hello out there,
assume jar file of my mobile project lives in c:/netbeansprojects/mymobileprojects/project1/dist/app.jar now i need a simple midlet that its only duty is to creat a text file say in d:/somefolder/text.txt.
what piece of code will do that for me? as it will be installed on a mobile phone how should i obtain drive letters of memory stick or internal phone memory?
