Hi all,
I've got a question concerning synchronization of multiple database clients.
Consider a database, accessed by two clients. Is it guarantted, that if
client 1 succefully commits a transaction, client 2 _instantly_ sees the
changes made by client 1?

Hashtable. Currently I have a Threadpool that is creating worker threads
based on requests to read/write to a hashtable. One function of the
Hashtable is to iterate through its keys, which apparently is inherently not

i have a dropdownlist (ddlConsultantCategory) and a textbox (txtRate) that
needs to be synchronized. the dropdownlist shows the "Consultant Category"
and the "Rate" (behaves as if it has 2 columns). when the user makes a
selection in the dropdownlist, txtRate should be populated with the value of
"Rate" which is the same as the 2nd column of the selected item in the
dropdownlist. this seems redundant but unfortunately that's the software...

I have a CF.NET application (C#) with a SqlCE database. We had
originally planned to use SQL Authentication to replicate with the
publication and indeed had SQL Authentication working flawlessly. Then

The below is perfectly OK in C++, but I wonder how safe is it C#. There are
cases when one thread is writing to, another one is reading from the same
variable. I don't want/need to synchronize the access.
My question is, can the .NET framework handle this scenario, or it may throw
an exception? I realize the data may be out of sync (say, a half of the
variable contains new data, another half contains old data), but it's not an
issue.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
