if i put the same code at the windows application or console, i can logon to
the computer. but, if i put the same code at the windows service and start
it, i still can't logon to the machine.
the return value is TRUE.
i tested it by going to windows explorer and then click that computer.

I developed a small test app using ASP.NET. I left the vistual folder to be
accessible only with windows integrated security.
I try to access that app from another PC in my LAN. I don't have a domain
controller, the lan works with Workgroup.
When I access that page, I get a user login dialog, aking me to enter

Hello,
I am having trouble using Integrated Windows Authentication between our
intranet server and our database server, both of which are on our local
domain.
Windows authentication works for our intranet server - my domain user
"DOM\nme" is correctly authenticated and authorized to view the ASP.NET page
on our intranet. The ASP.NET application uses impersonation (<identity
impersonate="true"> in Web.config).

Hi All!
I have a ASP.NET 2.0 site that works on the Windows 2000 Server. However,
when I tried to view this site on my local Windows XP machine, I get "Server
Unavailable". If I switch the Windows XP IIS back to ASP.NET 1.1 then I get
the Configuration Error (which is understandable because I'm trying to run
an ASP.NET 2 site with 1.1 framework).
I can however view other ASP.NET 1.1 sites on my local Windows XP machine.

I am trying to set up an intranet at work that will use our Active directory
to authorize our users. We also want them to access the site from the
outside (such as at home) and also be authenticated by our Active Directory.
We don't want to set up a separate Sql setup.

Hi,
I'm using windows authentication on a ASP.net 2 site, and the prinsipal
class to determine the users rights.
This works fine with desktop pc's, but we also have som pda's running
windows ce 3 and the first time the pages are loaded the user is prompted
for credentials, so far so good.
But once the credentials is entered, I can't find a way to change the user
logon. Even if I reset the pda, the previus logon is remembered.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
