a code required for a beginner

Hi

I'm electronic engineer and want to display the output of my project in the following manner thru serial port

a)I hav to transmit a Value from microcontroller to the computer
b)then the Value is to be multiplied by 5
c)then average is taken of 5 such multiplied values
d)net answer is to be displayed

im a beginner and need assistance to do my actual project (Ultrasonic Echo Distance Meter and Applications)
