I want to startup a script when the system bootup. can anyone help me?

where should i put the script.

What you're looking for is "/etc/rc?.d", where "?" is the runlevel, for which the script should be started.

If you want something to start up, whenever your system loads, runlevel 3 should be fine, if it should be loaded whenever your Desktop Environment loads, it's runlevel 5.

In these folders, you'll find README files, which should explain what to do sufficiently.
