Newline and tab characters in Linux

Hi,
My name is Krishna.Actually there is an excel which is converted into text file and i have to store that file into oracle database...And with god's grace i have completed that program and when i ran that in windows there is no problem, it's perfectly working. THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I USED TO RUN THAT IN LINUX IAM GETTING ERROR INVALID COLUMN TYPE....AND IT IS NOT TAKING ANY BLANK STRINGS.... AND FINALLY WHAT I WANT IS WHAT ARE THE NEWLINE AND TAB CHARACTERS IN LINUX.....

Please read the posting Guidelines at the top of the forum.
Specifically use of capital letters for anything other than normal grammatical function should be avoided, as it may be taken offensively. Please refrain from writing lengthy messages in capital letters in future!

You don't want to remake the system for every operating system that exists. Which language have you used for the program?
