Books on commands in linux/unix

can any one suggest me a book containg every linux or unix commands and details about it.

A visit to the documentation of the distribution you are using will give you all that. Probably any book on unix/linux at the library or at the bookstore will give you a printout of the same info, essentially.

Usually, you can use the tab key to show commands (if you double-tap it). I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of these will have 'man' or manual pages, where on a command line, you would type:

# man command

where command would be the command you have chosen (such as ls, ifconfig, cat, awk, sed, more, etc...).

You can also Google search your preferred variation of 'linux commands' and find online man pages.

If, for some reason, you find it utterly necessary to have a reference, I would recommend one of the O'Rielly Unix or Linux books.

TLDP.org is a great place to start. Also, most distos have online documentation for distribution specific features.
