Hi,
I am having a hard time setting up an SQL Server 2000 Developer
Edition instance for remote clients. The instance is running well and
I can connect to it on the local computer. When I try connecting from
another computer using Enterprise Manager with the server's IP as the
instance name, I always get the usual "Specified SQL Server not found"
error. I have used Enterprise Manager many times to connect to local
and remote servers...

Hi,
I tried to find the information over the internet but didn't find any
answers.
I'm looking for a server side code example of winsock accepting many
clients. I know that in VB.NET it is not implemented like in VB6. What
I've done is one client per socket. Meaning that each client used a
different port on the server, but I find it annoying.

What's the difference between "Run-Time Client" which I received with

and "Redistributible DB2 Run-Time Client Lite" available on IBM's web

I want to stream data from a server, the client is a smart client it I want
to be able to connect to a pc (eventually the pc it's been downloaded from).
The problem as you might expect is that the smart client doesn't have enough
permissions to open a socket, use remoting or even call a web service.
Anyone knows what to do ? (using caspol to loosen security works of course,
but it is not an option)

Hello,
After using Postgresql for a while, through ODBC / MS Access, I'm not
able to connect to the server anymore. The server reports "Too many
clients connected already".
With a "ps -afx", I can see a lot of idle postgresql connections, which
correspond for sure to ODBC connections that haven't been closed
properly, and that remain opened. Stopping and restarting the server
solves the problem.

Hello -
I'm running PG 8.1 on Windows XP.
I've installed the server to run as a service.
The psql command fails to connect to the server, although I can connect with other clients.
When I enter psql -d mydb -h localhost -U admin
I get the following response:
psql: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061)
Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
