Hello, I am a newbie and would like to know if it is possible to convert a string back to a dictionary? For example, I can convert a dictionary to a string by doing this: >>> names = {"Candy" : 2.95, "Popcorn" : 4.95} >>> strNames = str(names) >>> print strNames

I am tying to call a Pascal function from C++, and vice versa. Does anyone know how to do this, or where detailed information on this topic can be found? For the C++ to Pascal call I have tried declaring the Pascal function as:- extern "C" void PASCALTESTFUNC1(); within my C++ code. However, the linker is giving me an unresolved

Just wondering if anyone out there has any code to convert a plural word to it's singular form and vice versa. Most of our database tables are named in a plural fashion. When we go to create templates to select a single record, we end up with a class name that sounds as if it's a collection instead of just one data object. Just wondering if anyone has a nice workaround. I started working on something, but it quickly turned into a large...

I have a FileStream retrieved from FileOpenDialog. I have a Byte which I intend to store for later use. What is the most efficient way of getting the File into my Byte and tehn back out to a new FileStream ? I have been looking at all the Readers and Writers and due to information overload cannot decide on the proper method. Thanks, JIM

Hi all, This is a question about both C89 and C99 and is based on my partial reading of the standard drafts (one from before C89 but mainly N1124). If appropriate, please give a separate answer for each version of the language. Let's consider the conversion from a given floating real type to a specific integer type.

Hi all, I am using the below functions in order to convert strings to bytes and vice versa. I totally ans shamefully stole these functions from this group btw! Anyway, they work great but as sooooo slow. Anyone know how I can speed this functions up? I basically need to convert a byte to string, perform a function on each 'section' of the string, then reconvert it to a byte. The slow part is the conversion to and from byte, not the...

Hi all, I think most of you probably know the two .NET framework functions, namely Encoding.GetBytes(string) and Encoding.GetString(byte), to convert string into byte array and vice versa. Now, I want to do the same thing in pure(unmanaged) C++. I searched the Internet but could not find any satisfactory solutions. I am really in need of help! Is there anyone to explain how I can implement these functions by not using .NET library? ...

Is there any jar files specific for this kind of conversion? Do we have to convert these into XML format first? If so, how to go about it.. I've looked into POI, FOP and PDFBox.. which according to you provides easier implementation... Also, if you could send me any link to a suitable...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
