pass value from HTML form to php

I have a form where I wish to pass one variable onto the next php page using a form action submit

[HTML]<form action="designmode.php?proj_id=document.getElement ById("proj_id_hidden").value" method="POST" id="company1" name="company1">

<input type="hidden" value="" name="proj_id_hidden">

<input type="submit" value="Design Mode" />

This will be done automatically for you when you press submit unless you wanted a GET variable from a POST action.
