onreadystatechange event

hi all
I am currently working with javascript. I had seen an event "onstatechange" associated with document object. I had tried in w3schools javascript event reference and was unable to find this event. I even had looked into Mozilla site but was unable to find this event. can you tell me where can i find the info about the event.

one serious doubt what is the official site for javascript language refrence. I have read that netscape is the originator but now javascript1.5 ref is on mozilla site ( http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Core_JavaScript_1.5_Reference) So which is the official one. Is Mozilla taken over now. Who owns it now and what is the official javascript forum.

Thank you all.

Sorry the event is not "onstatechange" . The event is ="onreadystatechange" (<script language="JavaScript" for="document" event="onreadystatechange">) . Thank you all.

This is a non-standard event added by Microsoft for JScript, so you'll find it in their documentation.

one question has been answered. My other question is who is the official people for javascript? netscape had created it but it seems like from version 1.5 mozilla had taken over. is this true? right now who is the owner of the javascript? It looks silly but answer to this question helps me a lot. thanking you so much.

The language has been standardized as ECMAScript. The 3rd edition can be foundhere.
