Javascript style cursor hand works in IE but not in Firefox??

i have an image map with an onmouseover event thats calls a javascript function style cursor is hand. this works in IE but not in firefox. here's the code:

i already tried "pointer" but still it doesnt work. can you please help me with this one? i really would appreciate it. thanks!
