decoding problem!

I have a link as follows in my page

when I click this link the "p_Customer" parameter value is automatically decoded to customer#name in the address bar.

But clicking the following link doesn't decode the "p_Customer " parameter value

Why does this happen?

Put the onclick value in quotes and add 'return false;' at the end.
