JavaScript: Object Expected Error

2
Hi,

Could someone help me with this,

I am trying to validate a asp:button by client side validation
the javascript goes as

function help() {
alert('Error');
return false;
}

the aspcode looks like this
<asp:Button ID="btnExport" runat="server" Text="Export" />

In the form_Load event
btnExport.Attributes.Add("Onclick", "help();")

The javascript is in a .js file.
I have other functions in the same file. but all that seems to work.

Please help,

Regards
syd
