The fourth edition of ECMAScript will provide new features like typed
variables, and classes. Unfortunately the works on ECMAScript 4 project
were stopped at 2003 when the main driving force Waldemar Horwat moved
on new job and left the project. The last updated version can be still
seen at <http://www.mozilla.org/js/language/es4/index.html>, but no
changes made since 2003 neither any further development is expected.
Year 2006 ECMAScript 4 project was re-continued by Mozilla Foundation
with Brendan Eich as the leader of the project. New working draft is
ECMAScript Fourth Edition Language Specification
Working Draft 1.0
