IE vs w3c event model

yb
Hi,

I'm attempting to write event code for both IE and standards compliant
browsers. From what I can tell, IE does not support or have some
equivalent for the standard event properties:

currentTarget
eventPhase

Before I start manually adding other properties to track information
related to these, does anyone know of equivalent properties in IE (5+)
mentioned above? I've checked Flanaggan's text, and also a quick
browse through msdn did not show anything.

Thank you

Read through this, if anything is missing, ask again:
