history object

hello,

the history object has a few properties like previous and current.

is it possible to get the name of the previous page, like somepage.html?

because whatever i try it doesnot work, from all the properties i only get a
number from
history.length.

but from history.previous i cannot get the name of the page or the url.

can this be done?

thanks

No, security/privacy issue, instead, what are you trying to do?

document.referer _might_ give you the information you you want, or it
might not.

There is no guarantee that the "previous" page in history is the same as
document.referer. There is no guarantee document.referer will accurately
identify the page just visited.
