Last week I asked about ASP.net 2.0 AJAX frameworks and there appears to be
several to choose from.
I haven't used ASP.net 2.0 yet, but from doing a bit of reading, it appears
that ASP.net 2.0 also has some client side call-backs built in that can
update the display via AJAX.
To ask a more specific question, do I need a specific AJAX framework to do
the following:

I have a GridView that has paging enabled. Each item (as defined in an
ItemTemplate) includes several controls which have operations i would
like to Atlas-enable. Everything is working well except when I page the
GridView (the paging controllers are in the gridview's footer). The
webpage doesnt scroll back to the top of the page, so when paging
through the GridView the user is always looking at the last 4-5 items
on the page. My current...

Hi,
I need some pointers as I have no idea how to get started.
I have a large table which pulls data from a mysql db. Because of the large
number of records, it clugs up lot of memory and the browser massively slows
down when scrolling down.
What I would like to do is pull say 50 records and make the scrollbar as
long as if all records were retrieved; then use the on scroll event to
retrieve another 50 records based on far the scroll...

Hi all,
I'm looking for a way to show my users the progress of their sql
queries. I've implemented Microsoft Ajax in order to show a progress
bar, but I would love to be able to show:
number of rows loaded vs total rows
I tried a few searches for this, but haven't come up with the right
key words I guess. Right now I have zilch. So, it's easy enough to get

Tried this over in CSharp.General and didn't get anything, so I
thought I'd try again here. If there's an AJAX specific group I could
ask this in, please let me know...I did look.
I'm trying to code what I think is a fairly typical Master/Detail
scenario with two GridViews, using AJAX. Using the Northwind sample,
I have two ObjectDataSources - one which pulls data from the Orders
table, and one that pulls the related data from .
Each...

I'm fairly new to using AJAX. I'm currently developing a data grid
application in coldfusion, using AJAX for paging/filter/sorting
updates to the grid. So far I've just been returning raw html, and
updating the innerHTML of a div on the page when the response comes
back.
But now I've decided it would be useful to split my response into (at
least) two parts. The first will be the raw HTML to place in the div.
The second part will be...

I have a gridview on my page - the 'onSelIndexChan' of which is wired to a
ajax update panel - via triggers.
this works fine but the grids paging wont work - or rather it fires a post
back but the next page isnt displayed.
and then when i click the page link again it gives an invalid argument
error.
There is no code in the event handlers

Hi,
I have read hundreds of post regarding this issue, but none have an answer for my situation. So hopefully somebody here can help!
I have a gridview in an updatepanel (AJAX control toolkit) and because paging/sorting aren't supported I've added my own custom paging. I have dynamically loaded LinkButtons in the updatepanel to change the page but they only fire on the second click. I have also attached javascript to the rows so that...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
