Is there a way to get Javascript to obey the <BASE HREF=""> tag? I
have some code that redirects a user to a template on a different
domain, but it keeps taking me to the current domain.
Code sample:
<base href="http://www.example.com">
<SELECT onChange="location=this.options.value;">
<OPTION VALUE="shwspool.html">View Spool Directory</OPTION>
<OPTION VALUE="monacc.html">View Monitor Access Log</OPTION>

I am working on a web-based html editor using MSIE's designmode and
iframes.
Everything works just fine, but MSIE changes all my relative "a href"
and "img src" links (i.e. "/index.asp") to absolute links (i.e.
"http://localhost/index.asp") when I set the iframe's innerHTML.
This is bad as the links are supposed to be relative. How can I avoid
this? Any solutions/suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi all,
I think this is a longshot, but is there a technique for programmatically
run a webpage?
Let's say one of our vendors has a page that we go to daily to pick up some
files. Each time, the user clicks a link, that brings up a file dialog
prompting for a local name to download to and OK's. This process is
repeated for a number of files.

From an aspx page (A.aspx) I open another one (B.aspx -
for table lookup). When the user selects an entry in
B.aspx I would like to force a button's event in A.aspx
to be fired. I guess the only way is using javascript -
does anybody have a sample for this ?
Thanks

Dear sir,
On some of my pages, I used a <base href="http://www.meetholland.com/">
I need to dynamically determine the base href value to different URL based
on user session.
I am thinking to use <base id="baseUrl" runat=server>, it seems not to
work. It returns an error of missing </base> but base tag does not need
</base>

I think I have this kind of problem very often, now it is really making me
crazy. VS.NET always want to change my html code. Ok, that is fine as long
as Vs.Net can ask my confirmaton first.
For example, I have below in header part of my html page.
<base href="http://localhost/more/">
When I click save, VS.NET change it back to <base
href="http://localhost/more"> automatically without asking me or anything.
It just remove the last "/" by...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
