pls help: JToolBar or JButton refresh issues

Hi,

I have a JMenuBar object that contains a JToolBar object which contains

some JButton objects. After I let my applet sit for > 20 minutes, the

graphics on those buttons would disappear. There seems to be nothing I

can do to reload these graphics. I declare a JToolBar toolBar and call

the appropriate functions to create the toolbar elements and add it to

the pane, let's call this load().

As a test, I have tried toolBar.updateUI(), toolBar.validate(), and even

re-calling load(). But nothing will refresh makes the graphics

re-appear! Please help. Thanks in advance.
