what is the suitable collection to hold a group of file path?

anyone can tell me that what collection is suitable to use to hold the file
path. I want to store the particular file path (include inside subfolder&its
file). Normally when we dealing with a group of variable, we may use array
such as java.io.File[]
but now I can't use it in that way cos it only able to store all the path
but can't show out how is the file(folder) related to other file(folder),
such as folder "abc" got "a1" inside and "a1" folder got other folder
inside.
so anyone can show ,need to use what collection and how is it in written
code.
