iText addField

I have a requirment to store a path in a field during PDF generation. The field I've decided on is the application field, mainly because the others don't make sense. The api doesn't seem to have this field listed. Does anyone have any suggestions? title,author, subject, or keywords do not make sense to use because search engines will store this information and will be incorect.

As a side, I don't want to store this path in the actual document and would rather store it under properties or a hidden field to the native client.

Thanks

The conversion is working, but the code execution is very different according to wich iTextSharp.text.Image.getInstance(...) signature I am using : - using code 1 below, the conversion is fast enough but the resulting PDF file is too big (1 817ko sample Tiff file is converted in less than 30 seconds to a 2 764ko PDF file) -...

Hi, some years ago I´ve implemented an classic ASP form which fills in data from a database into a PD-form. I used the free FDF Toolkit which worked very well. After submitting the PDF the asp-form reads the data of the datafields and write them into the database again. Now I want to implement an improved ASP.NET version with VB.NET and I found iText.net. - FDF seems to be completly outdated?

After the cration of a table like that tbl = new Table(7, dataTbl.Rows.Count); tbl.setBorderColor(System.Drawing.Color.LightGray); tbl.setDefaultCellBorderColor(System.Drawing.Color.LightGray); tbl.setAlignment(Element.__Value.ALIGN_CENTER); tbl.setPadding(2); tbl.setWidth(( w - 495 ));

I think iText commonly used to create or manipulate PDF document in Java. So finally i decided to throw a question over here. For two days i am struggling. I encountered two types of table .. 1>Table: table can be easily created with row span or col span but still has a problem with vertical alignment of cell content. 2>PdfPTable: table can be easily created by col span but having a bit complex with row span. But it offers well vertical...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
