Could not deserialize java object: java.io.StreamC orruptedExcepti on

1 New Member
Trying to run a standalone program I downloaded and know works (I have spoken to the developer on the team etc...).
The url where to find it is http://pyxida.sourceforge.net/
I initially downloaded the standalone version and tried to get it working on two nodes after altering the config file but I keep getting the error:
"Could not deserialize java object: java.io.StreamC orruptedExcepti on: invalid type code: 92"

I then decided to download the source code from CVS and recompile the program into a jar and try that, same issue.
I checked the java version running on both computers (nodes) and all is identical. could it be the java version used to compile the library files?

Need any help I can get!
Thanks in advance!

Well, basically the content of the stream being read by the deserializer doesn't represent
a valid object. There are many causes; the main causes are:

- the stream is outdated and the object definitions have changed; check the serialVersionUI D
values for the classes that were previously serialized.

- the file was changed without your notice, i.e the file content itself is currupted.

kind regards,

Jos

Hi, I want to make simple client in phyton, which would be able to communicate with Java server using SSL sockets. There is the Java clients, which is doing this - so I'm pretty sure, that Java server works OK. Hi! I have 2 different applications/assembly. The first one creates an object and serializes it to a textfile on disk. The second one has the the exact same class (copied/pasted). It reads the file that is on disk and attempts to deserialize it and create a new object. The process works fine if I serialize/deserialize in the first

I am creating an application that allows the user to link a plug-in "utility" class (Watcher) to a class at runtime. There are several Watcher utilities, each with a different style of "watching" something. The all inherit from BaseWatcher which implements an IWatcher interface. To configure the Watcher we have a configuration object per Watcher called <watcher_name>WatcherConfig inheriting from BaseWatcherConfig which implements...

I'm getting a very weird exception and hoping someone may be able to help. I have an Office Add-In that lives in a .dll (for email reference ai.dll) ai.dll makes calls into the core part of the application implementation in another .dll (let's call that app.dll). app.dll makes a function call into another dll (let's call that one dep.dll). dep.dll has some code in it where it deserializes a memorystream using a binaryformatter.

I understand this might not be the optimal method of deserialization, but how can I deserialize a class to itself? Something like: Public Sub New(Optional ByVal filename as string = Nothing) If Not IsNothing(filename) then fs = New System.IO.FileStream(filename, System.IO.FileMode.Open) Dim sf As New

Any suggestions on how to deserialize an object from one line of XML? I'm trying to deserialize multiple objects from one XML document, each object on one line of the file. The serialization is working, but when I try to read the line back into a MemoryStream, and then to deserialize from that, I get an error that the root node doesn't exist. Example XML lines: <?xml version="1.0"?><LogItem

can i write multiple object states of a serializable in a single file? if i can then how can i read back those states? i have no problem with writing multiple object states in a file. but i can't read back the all object states what i saved so far. only after reading back the first state then StreamCorruptedException exception thrown. i know it is due to data inconsistency in the file.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
